In School Final Revision Sessions
To support pupils with their final preparations for exams, we will be running subject revision sessions in school. These sessions will be in either two-hour or one-hour blocks and in most cases support an exam that will take place the following day. Details of these sessions, examinations and the Year 11 lesson timetable are below. Please take time to review this each day. Pupils have been given a paper copy of this timetable and are given daily reminders in school regarding the sessions and locations.
Year 11 May Half-Term Revision Sessions
We will be running a comprehensive set of revision sessions over the May half-term break which are detailed below. When attending, pupils should arrive through the pupil entrance at least 10-minutes before the published start time of the session. The sign in desk will be at the front of the M Floor. Light refreshments will be available, but it is suggested that pupils bring their own food in addition, if they are staying for multiple sessions. These sessions are an excellent opportunity for pupils to put the final stages of preparation in place. The timetable of session is below and can also be found on our school website.

Supporting pupils with revision techniques
Below are some suggestions about how you can best support your child to revise effectively:
- Ask them to show you the revision timetable that they have produced in their form times
- Support them to identify a space in which they will revise which is free from distraction
- Make sure that they are hydrated and have healthy snacks available
- Encourage them to talk to you about what they have revised
- Make sure that leisure activities are planned in the week to avoid an overload of revision
- Support them to establish and keep a strong routine of sleep with the very least of eight hours a night.
